Together at the Top

Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

Our Care Group Mission Statement

The Riverwood Care Group provides opportunities for members of the Riverwood Ecclesia to provide care for its members.  The Care Group provides a simple mechanism to encourage volunteer care that is consistent, confidential and appropriate to the need and which may include longer-term support.  The Riverwood Care Group achieves this by defining and coordinating care activities to meet needs identified by Riverwood members.  The Riverwood Care Group does not provide counselling.

We are here to help!

Our committee members are listed below, please reach out to any of our members via phone or contact us via the feedback form.  Contact details can be found on our ecclesial speaking list.

What is the Riverwood Care Challenge?

Each month there will be a Care Challenge proposed for that month in the welfare section of our weekly ecclesial newsletter.

The challenge will outline a simple task to be performed in that month, with some suggestions, that everyone at Riverwood can engage in - from retiree to teen, from mums & dads to aunty and uncles.

The benefits of these challenges will be

magnified the more everyone joins in.

This initiative is designed to enhance a closer relationship with God, His Word and with each other. We are regularly exhorted to work on these relationships and love the ecclesia. Yet often, we wonder how to put this into everyday practice.

The aim of these challenges is to put these lofty principles into simple, edifying activities we can all do.

It will raise awareness of how everyday acts can cultivate these relationships and even nurture new ones. Who knows, you could be embracing your next new ‘good habit’ this month!

Rising to the Challenge of Care is everyone’s responsibility & privilege!

Our Riverwood Care group welcomes your Care Challenge suggestions.

CARE CHALLENGE

MAY 2021

This May call or send a message to three Riverwood members you haven’t caught up with since Covid began.

With personal connections beginning to re-ignite post restrictions, each of us can promote, enrich, and widen these personal connections in this simple way! Perhaps send a cheery text “hello, I’m wondering how you are?” or share an encouraging thought via Whatsapp, post a card or note or even place a heartening message in someone’s pigeonhole. Try your skills using some old-school cards or note paper provided in the foyer of the hall.
